Just then, the people in the hole heard a chilling statement from above.
"Well Toughie" said Toughie #1, "I'm tired of eating donuts. Maybe we should get to work filling this monster pothole." Toughie #2 chewed thoughtfully with a little cinnamon on his chin and replied "Okay, you start shovelling dirt into the hole and I'll lean on this here shovel here."
Toughie #1 picked up a shovel and started to scoop dirt from the back of the DPW truck but abruptly stopped with the shovel half-full. "Hey!" he exclaimed, "I'm the original Toughie, so I should get to lean on the shovel while you do the work!"
"What makes you think you're the original Toughie? I'm the original Toughie!"
"Okay, If you're the original Toughie, then you should know the answer to this question that only the original Toughie would know... In 1978 when you were a Junior at Woodlawn Oaks High School, there was this girl that had a total crush on you. What did she do with you in the Janitor's closet at the Homecoming dance?"
Now Toughie #1 smirked a bit because he was certain that Toughie #2 wouldn't know he answer. At the same time, Toughie #2 smirked an identical smirk because he couldn't believe that Toughie #1 was so stupid to have asked him such an easy question.

Meanwhile down in the hole, the bedraggled adventurers breathed a sigh of relief as they heard the two men starting to argue instead of filling the hole.
