That argument, imaginary case or creative writing exercise does not compute in this discussion. It's amazing how many anti-choice people are so sure they have a lock on the truth with this issue. The fact is that abortion is such a complicated subect, with ramificiations affecting all entities involved that NO ONE can smugly insist they definitely know which sidet is right & which is wrong. That's why the U.S. has the Supreme Court....it decides contentious issues for citizens. That is also the reason the original founders of the U.S. implemented a firm policy of "separation of church & state". As the troubles in the mid-east demonstrate, religions dark side is the fact it can make tyrants out of otherwise reasonable people. When we hear of another suicide bombing in Palestine we're horrified.....that same religious zeal, only slightly less fervent, is being played out with the abortion issue.
