"creeps me out"

I've always used "creeps me out" to convey distasteful or icky rather than threatening although I think the term refers to having nasty things creep over you, which could be about both fear and ickiness. With heebie-jeebies, I had in mind threatening, as in the imposition of some other world view threatening my pursuit of my world view, which was the subject being discussed. If one interpreted heebie-jeebies as "icky," then I can understand the connotation of contempt.

Creep
3 : to have the sensation of being covered with creeping things <the thought made his flesh creep>
