Zeev, I haven't seen 1296 as a support level of significance when I've looked back, so I'm assuming it is a Fib number.

I took the square root of .786, and got 0.88656, subtracted it from 1.00, leaving 0.11343.

Taking the run from 1387 to 2099 is 712 points. Multiplying by 1.11343 = 792.76. 2099-793 = 1306.

Interestingly, it appears there is an unfilled gap at 1305.38 to 1311.70 from May 2, 1997. Maybe gaps do get filled. 1306 is very close to filling that gap.

Anyway, there may be a trendline you see that intersects 1296 at that time. I don't have a chart that can show that.

Below 1387, 1343 or so is the next support, then the top of this gap at 1311.70 and ultimately 1306, IMO.
