'gazabo' - sounds like Grey didn't make it up but just misheard it in spanish, where gazapo means 'mistake' or 'error', especially in printing but in other things as well, it also means 'baby rabbit' .... used on people it means more a juvenile screwup than an evil person, generally ... because it sounds near and flows well with guapo which means 'handsome' you sometimes hear them together, in sarcasm .... can be used as term of endearment for kids, not as common as sapo though, that means 'toad' ... my favourite five-year-old answers better to Sapo Macho than to his name, for sure his little friends add a ga- sound to the front of it at times, making it gazapo Lots of words from the old west come from spanish and the indian languages .... one that is commonly thought to come from spanish is cayuse for 'scrawny nag of a horse', it actually comes from the name of the Cayuse indians whose lands were in what is now Idaho or Montana, they were known among other tribes as not having the best of horses ... not that i was lurking this thread, or anything
