I have to disagree:
"the cost of waffling on foreign policy is high"
Actually, the cost of meddling in foreign hostilities is unbelievably high, including billions in dollars, lives, imported drugs, and cranked-up disinformation campaign by an aroused DOD.
We do not have the answers to the problems of insane governments. We do not have the right to intercede and become a combatant, where our role immediately becomes more important to both sides than their own arguments with each other.
Our idiot leaders instantly put targets on the heads of each American by their meddling. They see it as in their political interest to do so.
Our corrupt leaders condone the enemies of the US, like Saudi Arabian royal deviants, who are in partnership with Carlyle and various Bush allies, and encourage tens of billions in petrodollars to these proven terrorist supporters.
Teddy Roosevelt was a man of integrity who wouldn't even take a Nobel honorarium because he got it while a public servant. He would never have allowed the kind of profiteering of Bush Inc. to destroy the credibility of his presidency. Not to mention being someone who could read a book, write a speech, and think his own thoughts, while taking independent and partisan counsel.
The idea of TR allowing petrodollars flowing to Saudi Arabia while they support terrorism is ridiculous. The idea of TR allowing 20 years' of potentially incriminating presidential papers to be hidden from the public is laughable.
Your bombastic and arrogant claim that "the U.S. is not going to tolerate anti-social behavior" is the claim of someone who's a bit too big for his britches. Are you volutneering for the military? Are you volunteering to pay the costs? Or do you want others to do your dirty work for you?
It sounds like you'd rather coerce others into paying for your spectator sport: Geopolitical Nintendo. Are you aware of the billions used by the CIA and DOD to train the Taliban in terrorism in the 80s, even publishing millions of grade-school books showing young children the glorious way to learn how to count by counting dead bodies, blown up tanks, etc.? Is that the kind of "under control" by GHW Bush that you are referring to?
Anyone who says they have the answers to the problems between the Middle Eastern countries or Paki/India is either lying or has an ulterior motive, or doesn't realize that just by getting corrupt US out of there would improve matters rapidly.
Those countries feed off of the participation of the U.S. dollars, period. Withdraw the dollars, and they are back to stone-age warlords, with nothing to gain, and little to motivate their suicide bombers, if not cash on the barrelhead, provided by petrodollars, drug dollars or direct foreign "aid". |
