Most of research (ot at least science literature) is done in the US. I already said that everything in the US has a Hollywood imprint, military, sports, high-tech AND RESEARCH too!

So any discovery has to have sound and fury. If it has, it's the right theory. So a theory that some rodents ate the dinosaurs eggs and finished them off, doesn't catch. Now put a family-sized asteroid crashing into earth and let the imagination roam... That's the right theory.

Tell that the dinosaurs ate rotten carcasses, doesn't make the grade. Now tell them that they outrun their prey, slash them with huge claws in fiercesome battle and then you've got it made.

Now back to the Mediterranean 'fill'er up'. A theory with Gargantuan Niagara Falls filling the sea, a sudden break of ground with muddy waters of biblical proportions... You've got my point by now.
