Here's some info for people:
Taken from a Computerworld poll, with 146 respondents:

Is your organization on schedule with its year 2000 conversion? Yes 60%

Is it hard to find people in house to do the work? Yes 62%

Are you turning to outside help to complete the project? Yes 58%

Is the project turning out to be bigger than your organization originally suspected? Yes 64%

Do you believe your organization's information systems will be millenium-compliant by Jan. 1, 2000? Yes 77%

---My analysis: The first answer says to me that 3/5ths of the contracts have already been taken care of. The third answer tells me that a lot of companies are using outsiders. Thus, we can look at the market as it stands today and see that it is likely to be somewhat similar in the next year or so. The last answer tells me that there is a pretty high confidence level among the people who should know the most about their systems.

Anyone else?
