OK, Nadine, the settlement issue is a red herring. The Palestinians really don't care about the settlements. That's why they keep bitching about being occupied.

That's why everyone, all over the world, criticizes the settlements. Because they really don't matter to anyone.

That's why the Palestinians keep pointing out that, due to the settlements, and the special roads that the settlers travel on, and the check points, they are effectively living in isolated pieces of land without being able to travel freely from one to the other.

Which most people would find intolerable. I sure would. It would piss me off beyond belief. But if I was a Palestinian, it would be a red herring.

If you repeat a lie often enough, maybe that will make it true.

Maybe that's why the Israelis think the whole world is against them. Because nobody but the Israelis thinks the settlements are a red herring.
