Exactly. My advice to you is to

pay down debt if you have any,
accumulate cash,
cash, cash. Fortify yourself to
be able to pick up bargains later.

When prices are falling; cash under
the mattress earns money - for
obvious reasons.

I hope you don't use credit cards.
If you have them pay it off and cut
them up.

Deflation + debt is total murder.
