I never said most corporate execs are corrupt, though I personally know some who are.

Enron is the prime example of such corruption though. Enron's corrupt greed and manipulation was so intense and arrogant they thought they could break all the rules and get away anything. Along with duping investors, they made billions ripping off California and other areas after lobbying to push through energy trading ideas few understood but them. Their soft money to the GOP was the major leverage there. They must have been popping champagne big-time when they put boy GW and his Uncle Dick in the White House. Bush-Cheney were indeed like family at Enron.

Let's face it, Enron was the most corrupt major corporation ever to come down the pike. They were very instrumental in putting Bush over the top. Gave him millions, let him use their private jet, raised money, raised more money, then got rewarded with some of their execs getting jobs in the White House, full access and influence in crafting the new energy policy, a golden opportunity to spread their deregulation ideas world-wide (which would make them rich and rob consumers) and get Bush-Cheney to push DR through. Where is the evidence of this? Exactly why Cheney refuses to release his energy papers though it's obviously wrong to withhold such information.

Enron is the perfect example of a "conservative" white collar criminal mentality combined with political soft money corrupting our systems. Similar to what happened during the S+L debacle years during Reagan's first term.

Ironically Enron just like the S+L's ended up the victim of their own over-reaching greed, but if they had been a little more conservative they might have succeeded. I'm sure they were shocked and dumb-founded by what happened to them as they felt so powerful and untouchable only six months before.

The links between Bush Sr., Chevron, the Saudis, James Baker, Enron, GW-Cheney are indisputable. Together with a few other major energy cronies like Williams, Duke, El paso, etc, they had the power, motive and opportunity to create a massive phony energy crisis, create an artificial shortage, manipulate prices, rip off tens of billions and create an artificial scare tactic issue which Gore had no solution for. Why didn't Gore have a solution? Because he had no idea what was being engineered at his expense behind the scenes. But now the truth is coming out. Like I've said, if not for 9/11 this would be THE story.
