I don't think any God who created us wants us to worship him. I think he wants us to get along and live and enjoy life. It is through our celebration of life that we honor God, imo. It is man who is always creating elaborate institutions like religion to control other men. It all depends on what you consider to be worship. You laid out the worship of God after you state you don't believe He wants us to worship Him. Worship is the celebration of life. The only bit of information that you lack is that we live and enjoy life by building our relationship with Him. We were created for Him. We do His will by being joyful always, praying continually, and giving thanks in all circumstances. That is God's will for us in Christ Jesus. We can rule out institutions and get on with real life, growing in the love of the Father. Christ reconciled us to God, so I implore you on Christ's behalf to be reconciled to God.
