I share most of your perspective and wanted to thank you for the "reality check" and perspective outlined in your post. ADSL will be another interim technology like IDSN, with larger market penetration and longer deployment, but intermediate technology nonetheless. I would argue part of the reason for the apparent slow time to market for ADSL is not about lack of standards, cost, demand, regulatory issues, etc. but also a strategic stall for the VDSL market to get closer to launch. Why spend billions on ADSL deployment with VDSL on the horizon for many market segments?!

Any thoughts you'd care to publically ponder regarding Gate's Comcast plans and implications for ADSL/VDSL market?

Regards.
