and as a result, they have become radicalized. I think they are both right. CB.. we really can't omit the fact that Jordan was technically the nation with which Israel was negotiating the return of the West Bank. Had those talks been successful, one has to ask whether King Hussein would have been so "gracious" in granting the demands for a Palestinian state. It was only in 1989 that Jordan renounced all claim to the West Bank, finally making peace with Israel 5 years later.. So the question is.. If Jordan, being 70% Palestinian, can make peace, why can't Arafat? Maybe it has something to do with leadership, or lack of it? Hawk
