I do' kno' but afganistan does not seems to be much of a threat now, does it? Iraq does not present much of a military threat after Bush Sr did some damage thare.
I recall the worst enemy of Israel was Egypt that is before Israeli tanks were next to Cairo OTOH the more you offer to arafat the more encouraged he gets


Albert, we tend to think that shooting up a place and subduing the indigenous population will do the trick..but rarely does it work permanently. So I think it is fool hardy to believe that the problems with Afghanistan or Iraq are over.

I think subduing the trouble makers is just one part of the solution; the other part is making sure the population doesn't have reason again to listen and follow the trouble makers in the future. That's when we will know that the job is done.
