>The problem is that this approach has solved nothing permanently in the past so why should it solve anything now. Sharon wants to be the bull in the china closet; that rarely works because its too easy. The Israelis are smart, well educated and successful and get considerable economic aid from the US. Its time they come up with more creative solutions to their problems and share their knowledge for success with the Palestinians.

Why isn't it working? Because every time Israel starts an operation, they're told to end it. That just pisses the terrorists off more. If the Israelis were allowed to go in and take away all of their weapons, they might get somewhere. Today alone, they managed to kill the Hamas member who organized the Passover bombings in Netanya and Haifa, went into the house of the police chief in Nablus and found an explosives factory, and they went into the house of the governor of Nablus and found nine wanted individuals and an illegal weapons cache.

What if the U.S. were only given one week to take out Al-Qaida?

>And your juvenile screaming at me......trying to get your stubborn, opinionated point down my throat...is symptomatic of the Israelis' problem. The real solution to the Israeli/ Palestine problem is very complex and complicated, and will take real effort and several generations to get accomplished. In the meantime, both sides, but particularly the Israelis, are wasting time by perpetuating this war of weapons and words.

No they're not. Since the '70s, the Arabs have been trying to run a PR war against Israel, and have done so very effectively. Should Israel not counter?
