The nonfarm payroll number does not reflect the people who can now reapply for benefits. It reflects jobs, up or down. The initial jobless claims, released earlier in the week, do include reapplications.

I have to correct an earlier error. The revision to the February number, plus the March number, do not mean we lost 10k jobs since January 31; it means we have 10k fewer jobs at March 31 than we thought we had (and the market priced in) at February 28. It's still not great job growth.
