I do not think that the marketplace has primacy, except in the sense of preferring voluntary transactions, in most cases.

Your conservatism sounds, er, fusty. My version is appropriately sensible and solid...and also alive. What's not to like about a political philosophy based on voluntary transactions among free people?

I think real conservatism has ideas to sell, as well.....

And what kinds of conservatism are there other than "real" conservatism?

And what new ideas are being sold by the real conservatives? A couple of examples, please.
