Lore, I was reading the wsj today. they discussed these young girls making 45 dollars a month in china. working 12 hours a day 28 days a month. with hong kong in the fold, i believe some of their democratic freedom will rub off in the china country side. this should have the effect of wages increasing as this workers begin to realize they are getting ripped off. the result will be increased costs to be passed through to us importers. inflation will result. time frame 2 to 3 years. when this happens demand will go up tremendously in china for western type products thereby competeting for the limited supply of metals and raw materials. just think of 1billion more chinese purchasing goods. this is good news for gold but can we wait out the current blight.
