I think a great deal of confusion surrounds the term politically correct and civility. To me, they are not moral equivalencies (not that I believe in absolute morality). Political correctness is really a form of political or societal fawning to garner favor or sympathy. Political correctness is shallow and hollow lacking sincerity, transparency, and substance. It's a fleeting instance in time, and in time, will become obsolete. It's the social flavor of the moment. Civility, on the other hand, is a genuine discourse to not hurt others thru rude or boorish behavior, mannerism, or conduct. It is, as Rambi pointed out, behaving with consideration for others. As usual, just my humble perspective.
