Actually it was 73 when Israel was attacked. In 67 they knew they were going to be attacked and struck first. In any case, while you can feel the Palestinians' pain, they ruin any chance for our sympathy by allowing these terrorist bombings. If they were rational and smart they'd be demonstrating against Hamas and Al Quaida instead of against us and Israel. Those bad guys are the ones keeping them from freedom and better standards of living. We have tried so hard to bring them peace. Carter and Clinton especially. Think of the years of work those two presidents put into bringing the two sides together, all to be intentionally derailed and ruined by terrorist bombers. Disgusting. This is why I am glad Israel is in there now kicking ass and taking names. Every terrorist they kill or capture now saves 10 or more lives in the future. And yes some innocents may perish in the process, but that my friends is war. Happens every time. No getting around it. Next I believe we should bring back CIA targeted assassinations. Not only against Al Quaida, but along with the Mossad and pakistanis, to be-head Hezbollah, Saddam, Hamas, any radical Mullahs preaching hatred and anyone supplying weapons or money. Get the moderate Arab governments involved with it too. They actually have the most to lose. Some of these assassinations could be from the air but some will require contract killings, Richard Marcinko SEALS types. Dificult work, but once these terrorists realize they are not safe ANYWHERE anymore they will begin to review their career choices. Why could this work? Because unlike during the Cold War there is no super power supplying these tangos. In the old days the Russians could give comfort to them. Now the only places they can hide are Arab nations which are under closer and closer scrutiny. And we CAN go into any Arab nation and conduct covert ops. It can be done without fear of a nuclear war.
