"Large companies still expect to see a marked increase in online commerce, however. The executives polled by Forrester estimated that their online-generated 2002 revenue made up 7.3 percent of overall corporate revenue, up from 5.7 percent in 2001, and they projected that figure will reach 20 percent in five years. "

Victor,

We surprisingly had 18% of our sales on-line in fiscal 2001. We are predicting 45% in fiscal 2002. I had never anticipated this.

My number may be a bid skewed in that we fulfill on-line orders from our brick and mortar locations. Therefore, many sales are made on-line and then picked up at the store to avoid shipping fees. I count those as on-line sales due to the fact I can't find any documentation that defines this. Most larger chain stores like Best Buy, Barnes and Noble, etc. fulfill from a wharehouse intended for on-line sales fulfillment. No one is really addressing a definition of this sale of which I am aware.
