My point has been that both designs have bugs that aren't found in validation. That's simply the nature of validation, given that there is no perfect way to validate every conceivable input and output for an IC as complex as a microprocessor. That AMD has only 4 errata on their list indicates to me that they may have spent less time validating their silicon. I can see this possibility, but only because I'm in this business (of validating VLSI circuits), and you are not.
