Jeffrey,

Thanks for the input. I use TurboTax, but never saw the need to get Quicken-Deluxe. Perhaps this is the need. I probably even have a coupon for Q-D in my TurboTax box. I will have to check it out again. Meanwhile, could you please answer a couple questions?

With Q-D, is it just a single fee for the software, or do I need to pay monthly/yearly for the service?

GainsKeeper charges based on the number of transactions. $120/$150 for 1000 transacations, $50/$60 for 100 transactions. I have a new PC, so the computer speed is no problem. Thirty minutes for a Schedule D is very fast. It sounds like Q-D is a fixed cost that does not increase with increased transactions.

So Q-D will import the trades directly from Datek?

Can this be done weekly or monthly to keep a running tally of trades?

If you would be so kind as to answer these questions so that I have an idea of the total cost for using Q-D, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!

Ken
