A S,
Re: Have sympathy for the Palestinians, but do not oppose the Israeli action for it is absolutely necessary. These terrorists are not normal people,
Sir, you should read these words of Moshe Dayan, and then perhaps you will have the wisdom to realize that the Palestinians are only acting as they do because of extreme and outrageous provocation by the fascists in Tel Aviv:
"[Israel] must see the sword as the main, if not the only, instrument with which to keep its morale high and to retain its moral tension. Toward this end it may, no - it must - invent dangers, and to do this it must adopt the method of provocation and revenge...And above all - let us hope for a new war with the Arab countries, so that we may finally get rid of our troubles and acquire our space." -Moshe Dayan
(Quoted in Livia Rokach: "Israel's Sacred Terrorism")
What is absolute essential for you to do is to look at the situation from a historical perspective and realize, as I have only recently, how utterly cynical the Israeli right wing is in provoking the Palestinians for ulterior purposes, i.e. the Israelis want to dispossess the Palestinians by force, with no compensation and with utterly repugnant bullying tactics that are not only illegal, but unethical and immoral. It is impossible for me to any longer feel anything but disgust at the Sharon administration, a fiendishly fascist bunch of butchers, disgustingly mimicking the worst of the atrocities visited upon the Jews in the 1930's and 40's in Germany and occupied territories. Apparently the only lesson Sharon learned from the Holocaust is that it's better to be the brute rather than to be the brutalized. The Palestinians are not terrorists. They are freedom fighters. There is a difference.
Salaam aleikum
