Kiplinger February 2002 article about financial talk shows. They're not getting the QQQ trade timing fiasco but even without that they're not enthusiastic. Imagine how they would be when the QQQ disaster is included?

Broadcast Pundits: On the Money?

By Sean O'Neill
From stock tips to billing disputes, personal-finance talk shows fill the airwaves with advice....

Money Talk (weekends on more than 200 stations and www.bobbrinker.com). Host Bob Brinker, who writes an investment newsletter, said a couple of months ago that "buy-and-hold investing, as measured from the first quarter of last year, can prove very frustrating." Brinker gamely tries to beat the market, and he's had some success: In January 2000 he advised listeners to cash in a sizable portion of their stocks. But long term, he suffers the same fate as most stock pickers: He can't time the market consistently enough to beat buy-and-hold investing. In the ten years through November 30, Brinker's published portfolio had an average annualized gain of 12.4%, compared with 13.3% for the Wilshire 5000, according to Hulbert Financial Digest.

It does provide information on other financial shows (there are many, many, many these days) FWIW.
