what did you think of that piece? It seemed rather odd to me. I mean, Wieseltier is obviously smart and knowledgeable, and writes very eloquently, and feels very deeply about all of this. But it was hard to see just what he was really saying or proposing. Lots of emotion, lots of biting sarcasm, lots of criticism of others. But aside from the not-exactly-unique suggestion that the Palestinians should give up suicide bombing and come back to the table, it's not clear what else he would have the US, or the Israelis, do.
