You have got to be kidding me. You are talking about Hamas, the group whose goal is to kick Israel out of the Middle East, the group who called the Passover Eve bombing "a great success," the group that specifically targets innocent civilians. Even one of the leaders smiled when they talked about the number of casualties inflicted.

This is evil, pure and simple. You might be loathe to use that word, but I'm calling it like it is.

By the way, most of the leaders of Hamas are also wealthy and educated. One is a cleric, one is an engineer, and two are medical doctors. And at least one of the leaders is a family man with seven children. It's all documented in that very NY Times article that you called an "embarrassment":
