I think a lot of that stuff would resonate with many atheists, less so with humanists or agnostics.

I had a couple of concerns with it. One was the herding cats problem you mentioned. The only thing that goes with being an atheist is that you believe there is no God. That's it. Where you go from there is wide open. My impression was that Dithers though atheists just picked up humanism or a set political platform to fill an alleged vacuum, which in my mind does not exist.

The other thing was that the list was a mixed bag of beliefs, morals, and political opinions. A political opinion on whether religious expression is permissible in schools wouldn't mean a thing to some atheist Finn--to anyone who doesn't have a clause in his constitution about church and state.

So while his list may resonate with you, it wasn't comparable to a religious belief system. What I posted as my beliefs is intended to be comparable.
