Don't worry - I think I compensated for you. When I left Intel last July I had 90 days to exercise all my NQ stock options at $5/share. I couldn't believe the taxes I had to pay! I'm glad the taxes were withheld by Intel at the time of exercise, because I'd cry if I had to write that tax check myself.

The smart move (thus far) was exercising and holding a good portion of my shares in the low $20s after 9/11. I paid the taxes on the gain between $5 and ~$20, and can defer the tax on the gain since then.

One week till tax day!
