Even if we are going to go on "common sense" and not scientific evidence, as you seem to want to do, I think your direct linking of homosexuality to pedophilia is still very questionable. Don't we need to give some thought to whether the population of gays in the clergy is representative of the gay population in general, consider whether it is very possibly a segment of gays in very peculiar circumstances, who chose a peculiar way of life, who were abused themselves as youth in the Catholic system... it may be irresponsible to draw the conclusion which you have, based on "common sense", using only this unnatural environment and applying it to a much larger population.
This kind of common sense doesn't seem to me to be "common", but quite narrow in its scope. I don't consider myself at all PC, by the way, and have to remind myself that I am an ex-flower child sometimes.
And I still like you.
