Lachesis, why AVNX? Options usually play better with higher activity (smaller spreads getting in an out), stocks with good beta and higher prices where you know they'll be an appreciable move.. ie leverage. For example IBM's options track the stock well, have a small spread, trade in volume.. thus the TA of the stock translates and leverages well to stock price moves.

I've been looking at PFE as a possible candidate because BMY and other sad stories in the sector have dragged it down

Today's Naz action was encouraging in the face of IBM's haircut. But regarding AVNX it is testing a triple bottom and last May was a depression rally off early Apr lows.. hopefully that pattern will hold this year for a run to 7+ (why not :~)
