I understand it's not part of your thinking, that's why I'm trying to point you in that direction. The point being, if Sharon is correct about Arafat, then Arafat is an implacable enemy, and even though fighting may increase Arafat's 'legitimacy', fighting is still the best option, because the only other option is surrendering. And surrendering to terrorism gets you more terrorism, not less.

Btw, what's "rubbery" about the term terrorist? Are you like the Muslims, who can't find a definition that could possible include killing Israelis?
