the above headline is a joke and an embarrassment if the NYT international edition is of the same stature and quality as the US publication. I would expect such an incendiary heading on a Nat. Enquirer paper but not the NY Times.

It could be that the NY Times international editors are still not on the same page with the page with the rest of NY Times on the whole Politically Correct reporting. Meaning, if saying the truth is not aligned with the PC agenda, truth has to either be silenced, changed to false, or buried in enough falsehood that it would be too hard to find.

Joe, its not an issue of being PC. We have freedom of speech in this country but yelling fire in a crowded movie theater when there is no fire is not permitted under the law. In the same manner, a newspaper presenting the situation in the worse possible way so that it encourages more violence is not responsible journalism in my book.

In fact, the whole article is incendiary and not intended to inform as is the role of journalism but to agitate the already existent fears and hate of the Israelis. Its very sad.

Are you saying that the story does not represent the true state of affairs? If it does, why do you think it should be suppressed, silenced?

No, I am saying that it encourages more distrust and fear that potentially could lead to more violence. Quotes are printed made by persons on opposite sides about subjects that may be true or not true but are guaranteed to agitate the respective tensions. In my mind, its irresponsible journalism.......do you not agree, or does having more fighting please you?
