Second, the real danger is that Sharon's policies are preparing the ground for the Palestinians to consider an involvement of Al-Qaida as a good thing. And that's very bad.

I can't speak for the majority of Palestinian sentiment, but I can assure you that the leadership of the Palestinians has been in open alliance with Hizbullah, Islamic Jihad, and al Qaeda for more than a year, except when speaking in English to the NY Times.
