I use puts but I've been trying to pick tops lately, to get the big hit, instead of finding weak stocks in rallies at resistance. A mistake, but it's hard to resist picking the top in things like MSFT, GE, SUNW, etc.

SMSC acted well today, I thought. Good volume and higher bid/ask.

But it would be really nice to see a breakout.

Interesting comment on the quicker re-tests of resistance usually failing. I hadn't noticed that. Will now.
