Albert, Ashkenazi are with Khazar's blood mixed in. Ashkenazi are very much "semitic" people. You made my point. Khazar's historical ties to Israel are mainly spiritual, not by blood (being a descendents of Jews who left or were forced out of Israel). As to what percentage of blood of an individual Ashkenazi Jew is that of semitic people vs. Khazar may range from 100% to 0%. Since my assumption is that sephari Jews are 100% (or close to that) descendents of Israeli Jews, their claim to the land of Israel is stronger that of Ashkenazi Jews. Joe
