Federal or state antitrust suits are great fun, because legal fees are paid with taxpayers' money
Alan Reynolds who is paid by MSFT through the hudson institute, a paid propagandist institute from "donations" by MSFT.....
washingtonpost.com
,should ask his company (MSFT), question: who reimbursed legal expenses for every company and state that has settled with MSFT?....
if you will look at the states that have so far settled, MSFT has reimbursed legal expenses, plus what ever these 9 states win.....
if you'll look close at those civil suits from Sun and AOL, they also ask for reimbursements of legal expenses from MSFT....
so in the end, MSFT has to pay, not tax payers, MSFT has always had to pay, they've never won...... they always lose and have lost so many times that everyone has lost count of how many settlements MSFT has paid out...... even companies who had competeing versions of DOS and where later illegally run out of business by MSFT got paid in the end....
but now, the settlements will be in the $billions of dollars, and people will sit up and notice now after TRIPLE DAMAGES..... rather than the $millions MSFT was paying before, (even the DOS company would have a settlement in the $billions now, after these triple damages)
and Alan Reynolds who works for MSFT through their PAID propagandist institute (the Hudson institute) is worried about the tax payer? please..... let the tax payers figure out what they are going to do with the $BILLIONS they are winning from MSFT, PLUS legal fees instead.....
