Nothing interesting at the NAB yet (in the storage area), I just did the Sands Convention Center today. Of the publically-traded storage-related companies, no announcements. I'll pick up the show daylies and post a compendium later.

I talked to a few of the storage vendor sales reps, and they are still agreeing with what I have been seeing. The big endusers aren't buying RAID & Switches like they used to. Reason is that the Fortune 500 all overbought based on the 1999-2001 forecasts.

Now they are interested in storage management products to deploy their disk better. Good news for DataCore, Falcon, and BMC Software.

New business is coming from the mid to small-sized companies.
