mish - most of the serious economists say the economy will expand %4 - %6 this year. That is huge expansion. At the moment CEOs say they can't see a thing in fact many biggies see nothing for years ahead except declining sales. They both can't be right or even anywhere near right. They are both looking into the future and so there is a big element of uncertainty. IN that case the economists have the edge in predicting the future. At least they have some tools and guidlines for divining the future. The CEOs don't have that much info or guide to the future. Best, L
