As the proud owner of a couple of the Merrill Lynch HOLDRS from their inception, at the recommendation of my friendly ML Finacial Consultant, I've had these nagging questions for some time about whether ML was simply "wrong" in their opinion, or if they had invented a clever way to unload a lot of inventory, at a 2% premium to boot. holdrs.com holdrs.com Perhaps the answer is becoming clear. I often wonder about what incentives were dangled in front of the FCs to move these things.
