..can't afford to be distracted whether it's reported or not.

I don't want to visualize that...

As far as cavalier attitude -- that's quite an understatement. Here's a guy that has trailer-park attitudes in the highest office. It's disgraceful, to anyone, especially to idealistic Americans.

My point was how to handle disgraceful situations.
You can choose to take political advantage, even if it causes disgust nationwide for years. Or you can denounce it by saying you won't talk about it, and show some class. That would have gotten my vote. As it is, I can't forgive any of the perps.

I recently had to fire someone who was discovered to have had a 'domestic dispute' complaint. This is a very secure position managing the flow billions of dollars in transactions through a secure network. I made the case that his problem (a)was dismissed (he had to correct the documentation on that), (b) did not involve trust issues, and (c) I would vouch for his suitability and performance on the job in all respects. He was allowed back on.

The way it was handled didn't involve others in the organization. It wasn't the prettiest thing to talk about, and didn't need to be by the investigators or anyone else. And the whole organization is better for the way it was handled.

I know that isn't big-time politics where anything goes. I'm just hoping for decent folk that have some limits. The way the Repubs talked it up told me they relished every minute of it, which was about as civilized as a barrel of puke.
