Zeev, when one is considering the new highs and new lows, one has to keep in mind that in that matter the action 52 weeks ago has the same weight than the action today : there was a strong run up from 04/01/2001 to 04/48/2001 from QQQ 33.60 to about 45 so even if the market stay here the new lows could increase just because low levels from that period are removed from the picture. Indeed one would have to count how many stocks were lower on 04/04/2001 than on september 2002. The fact that new lows are contracting despite this possible effect is very positive but interpreting the new highs new lows calculated on a moving basis is tricky.
