I pay as much attention to what you say as anyone at SI. I am impressed by your discipline, your knowledge of the market, and your knowledge of the general economic situation. I don't think you have a visceral enough feel for the fragility of technology companies in general and for the extremely difficult environment this post bubble situation is. You compensate in part by your diversification and trading discipline, but I think you need to be more critical of the companies you invest in. If a technology company doesn't have a transparently understandable successful track record (e.g. AMAT), it is a crap shoot. This doesn't seem the time for a crap shoot. Valuations definitely don't reflect the real risk/reward situation.
