The strategy is, to change to Iraqi ruler, and thereby scare the others in the "axis of evil" into stopping terrorism and nuclear/biological weapons development. Unfortunately, this strategy isn't working, and I don't see any way it does work. The entire Muslim world is now on record as opposing military action against Iraq. The War On Terrorism, and the Palestinian guerrila war, are now linked. We can't delink them, we can't end the Palestinian war, and no Moslem country can side with us in that war. Which means they can't support us in the War On Terrorism. So, Israel and the U.S. end up isolated, and unable to achieve their goals. IMO, the chance for peace in Palestine is gone; they got very close in 2000 but failed, and we won't get another chance, until many, many more people have died. And the eventual peace will look very similar to what they almost agreed to 2 years ago.

Aside: IMO, you have a tendency, which you may or may not be aware of, to engage in wishful thinking, on this and other issues. Don't take this comment wrong, it's meant as constructive criticism.
