Unfortunately, I feel that the Arabs are the bad guys here and thus should be a second priority. You may disagree.

Z, I do for a number of reasons. The Arabs/Muslims make up a significant portion of the world and their issues should not be ignored. The American Arab/Muslim population has grown significantly in the past twenty years and much like the Jews should have a say in our foreign diplomacy.

My third reason may be a little more controversial but I think the Arab countries are more united than ever before and pose a much greater threat to Israel than many are willing to acknowledge. If they perceive the US favoring Israel exclusively, they may be more inclined to attack Israel and the US may not be willing to send in military support to Israel.

Again, I know this too will not be well received but I think the greatest historical threat to Israel's independence exists right now. To me, Israel has kept her larger neighbors at bay by barking loudest and nipping at their heels frequently; in general, presenting an aggressive posture. But I believe the Arabs are getting wise to that, and may not be so reticent to attack in the future. The only good news in this who thing is that Libya and Iran did not follow Iraq's lead in cutting off their oil to the world.
