Mr. Engels has previously posted messages to the effect that he does
NOT, has NEVER, and would NOT consider working at AMD. Either he
doesn't like Jerry's limo or else he covets it. (Just a joke, Paul!)

If you know someone who works at AMD and he's just a tech who says it
looks bad, you have to remember that the small fry at these companies
don't get the information sometimes so may not know the whole story
of what's being laid as as the company's strategy.

Then, again, if that person is one of the higher-ups and they see no
long-term strategy to get the company back to profitability, that's
something to be concerned about.

All I can say from what I've seen and heard about AMD is that if a
company with a line of products like this ends up going bankrupt,
then somebody or a lot of somebodies has sure dropped the ball. Even
if AMD does not succeed with its new cpu's, it has enough other lines
of products that should keep it in the running. But if it does go
under, it won't be the first company that showed a lot of promise and
failed due to bad management.

NOTE: I am not saying AMD has bad management: I do not know if it
is or is not being run by the right people. However, I also note that
a lot of people seem to think there is a problem with management and
if that is true the problem needs to be addressed and corrected.
