FMR Corp., Fidelity Parent, Reports 10.3% Stake In Sybron
WASHINGTON -(Dow Jones)- FMR Corp., which owns Fidelity Investments, reported taking new stakes in three companies and changed its stakes in numerous others.
FMR made initial investments in Fidelity Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (NasdaqNM: REGN - news) Inc. (REGN) , Transkaryotic Therapies (NasdaqNM: TKTX - news) Inc. (TKTX) and Invitrogen Corp. (IVGN).
FMR reported a 10.5% stake in Regeneron, with 4.4 million shares; a 12.1% stake in Transkaryotic Therapies with 4.2 million shares; and a 12.1% stake in Invitrogen with 6.4 million shares.
FMR increased its stakes in Sybron Dental Specialties Inc. (SYD) and Syncor International Corp. (SCOR), while substantially cutting its holdings in AdvancePCS (ADVP) and Mylan Laboratories Inc. (MYL).
FMR's stake in Sybron Dental climbed to 10.3%, or 3.9 million shares, from 9.9%, or 3.7 million shares, in February.
The investment company's stake in Syncor jumped to 10.2%, or 2.5 million shares, after declining to less than 2% in 2001.
Meanwhile, FMR cut its ownership in AdvancePCS to 7.6 million shares, or 9.5%, from 11.9 million shares, or 15%, in February. FMR also reduced its stake in Mylan to 8.5 million shares, or 6.8%, from 16.2 million shares, or 12.9%.
FMR's stake in XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. (XMSR) decreased to 0.625%, or 305,556 shares, from 6.179%, or 3 million shares, as of Dec. 31 . |
