read that last post and try to think what will happen if the dollar starts to fall...

what will the fed do...if they raise rates it will crush the economy and equities...make the dollar fall even more..if they don't raise..inflation takes hold..long bond yields rise..etc etc...

hands are tied. the talk of raising rates is bogus..just hype to try to keep the long bonds from rising too fast. give corporations a chance to issue massive ammounts of corporate paper at low rates...problem is everyone is on the short end..and can't afford to move off.

read 2/3's of europeans are on variable mortgages..haven't seen the latest stats here but if it's anywhere close...we are in real trouble..think about the tax on the people as rates rise...if and when rates tick up..the people will be taxed to hell buy it...if rates don't tick up we will see inflation and higher long bond yields.

rock and a hard place,
