Ted, At this point, I wonder how much real power Arafat has over Palestinians. I have to say that these demands (by Bush and Powel) that Arafat does A, B, C and D is a little silly. It seems to me that the situation is so out of control that even if Powell gets the 2 sides to negotiate, I doubt Arafat can deliver anything (even if he really wanted to). Joe
